At books-design.com I create one-of-a-kind book cover design for the self-published authors. I believe in uniqueness, therefore every book cover design that I create is custom-made to complement the story inside. All of this, while considering your carefully planned budget. Discover my selected works below and feel free to drop me a line about your book, the initial consultation is free of charge.
I specialize in creating custom book cover art using a mixture of photography, digital painting and sometimes incorporating traditional art into the process as well. Whether you need an e-book, paperback, dust jacket or hardcover design, all options are available for you to choose from when you place your order.
I also develop modern, minimalist brand identity for authors who want a consistent and easy to recognize online and offline presence. The process includes designing a special author logo that can be used on all your published materials.
There's a free set of marketing materials included with each project you order. The set contains at least 5 promotional designs, 3D book covers and Facebook, Twitter and Google+ headers. Marketing materials help you better manage your online marketing campaign.
As part of the tailor-made services I offer, audiobook cover design is also an option. If you would like to publish your book as an audiobook as well, then don't forget to mention this in the contact form.
Whether you would like to have your own, custom blogging platform or a more elaborate presentation website, I can design and setup your webpage on a stand-alone WordPress publishing platform.

"I absolutely loved working with Ana on my cover design! The cover is the first thing that your prospective readers see, so you have to get that right from day one. She is complete in her detail. Her abilities in art and design set her miles above the other designers used at the Big Five (publishers). My favorite thing about Ana is how she is able to design covers for multiple genres across both fiction and non-fiction. It really blows my mind how diverse her talent is . Of course, talent can only take you so far. She has put in a ton of hard work and it shows in the excellence of her art. Thank you for designing the cover of my first e-book and print book combo! I look forward to working with you for the cover design of my second self-help book."
"Ana created a beautiful, publishing industry standard cover for my book, working to instructions with great precision, but also with her own artistic flair and talent. I cannot recommend her highly enough."
"Ana was a delight to work with! She took the time to understand what I wanted and translated that into a creative and artistic vision. I was very impressed. Her price was reasonable and she went out of her way to make sure I was happy with the product that she provided. She was also very knowledgeable about the process and regulations. As a first-time author, this helped me tremendously. I plan to work with her again."
“Ana is an exceptional and easy to work with book designer, she does whatever it takes to create the best work possible for you and your book. She’s easy to communicate with, willing to test ideas and highly reliable. Ana has designed 2 of my book covers so far and she’ll design more of them in future, too!”
As a former professor, I had a reputation for being a very tough grader. Few ever got an A—less than 10%. I would give Ana Grigoriu's work an A+ and here's why. I judge on three dimensions: results, process, and relationship. Her results are simply brilliant, as you can see from examples of her finished work. Her process is thoroughly professional, from intake to conclusion and she follows it with full rigor. And her relationship skills are a delight—warm and supportive, without being gushy or patronizing. Overall, the value for money, the hassle-free delivery, and the pleasure of having someone you don't know live up to your highest expectations at a fair price is a pure delight.
"Ana has been a most patient and tolerant cover designer for an indecisive client (me). Her instinctive understanding of the aesthetics and coherent interplay of color subtleties, balanced design, and particularly of appropriate lettering, brought my ideas absolutely to fruition. She was a real colleague that seemed to share my hopes and was always a supportive friend. I cannot recommend her highly enough, and the speed at which she works when required is quite unbelievable."
“Graphic artists are a dime a dozen, but Ana is absolutely exceptional. Ana's gift is her special ability to translate a vague design concept into a work of art. Face it, people do judge the book by its cover. If excellence matters to you, choose Ana - a real artist and a true professional.”
"Choosing a designer for our book was daunting to say the least. But rest assured, we are thrilled that we went with Ana Grigoriu to design The Daily Soul Sessions For The Pregnant Mama! Ana was extremely professional, efficient, and very competitive in pricing. She captured our vision perfectly - even better than we dreamed, in fact! She went above and beyond to answer any questions we had and to make sure we got exactly what we wanted in our book cover. You won't be disappointed! Thank you, Ana!"
„Ana designed the cover for my new book, “Finishing Year”, an account of my going overseas as an exchange student to finally graduate from university – at age 48! When I was searching for a cover designer, I came across Ana’s work in several good reviews, and found her personal website to be super also. I wanted that kind of cover designer for my book. I needed a simple cover that would visually remind readers of my subject, and I had a tight budget. We were able to zero in very quickly on a cover idea and developed it in a matter of days.
"Ana came up with fantastic concepts based on my initial ideas, refined them very well, and produced a beautiful cover. Fast, professional, and lovely designs. I recommend her enthusiastically."
“Ana is a pleasure to work with. Not only is she talented, but her professional demeanor is exemplary. While I had two books with very specific concepts, Ana worked with me patiently to make them the best they could possibly be. She is solution-based and doesn’t give up. As evidenced by my covers - which are absolutely gorgeous - she is gifted with an eye for design and detail. Ana will work with you to bring your concepts to life…all at a very affordable price. I will be working with her again when my third novel, Lake Coffey, releases next year.”
If you are unsure of what design style to go for or what would suit your target best, then we'll begin the design process with a session of brainstorming. We'll exchange ideas and inspirational materials that will help us choose the best cover concept for your book.
Creating the initial concepts usually takes around 10 to 15 business days and it's the most exciting part of the design project. Once the drafts are ready you will receive a preview image of each so that you can choose your favorite one.
Once you choose your favorite cover art we'll proceed with the tweaking phase. You can request a set of revisions and I'll tweak the design as much as it's needed to make it perfect.
The final ready-for-publishing files are completed at this stage and they are checked for compatibility with your chosen POD publishing platform such as CreateSpace, Kindle, IngramSpark, Lulu or LightningSource. Each template is carefully prepared to match the publisher's guidelines.
Your finalized book cover and additional materials are available for download via a secured link. Once you download all the files you can simply upload them with your POD of choice and publish your book in just a few minutes.
If you are publishing your book with CreateSpace, Kindle, IgramSpark, Lulu or LightnigSource, your print-ready files are guaranteed to be fully optimized for the printing process of the POD of your choice.
The final files that you receive at the end of a project are high quality, 300dpi, PDF and JPG files that are ready for publishing. Simply upload them online with your POD publisher and you’re ready to sell your book!
